Raised in Salt Lake City and Bountiful, Utah, Randle's artistic career took off in 1971 when he received a prestigious Presidential Scholarship to study art at the University of Utah." "Randle is highly regarded for his striking use of color and reflective light. Rather than strictly painting a literal, immediate response to a scene, he frequently paints from memory and emotion to capture a deeper "sense of place".
